Annual Meeting for our sector, has made a significant contribution to this event,
which this year celebrated its forty-seventh edition in the city of Cartagena.

Within the technical program, twenty-six papers were presented in the sessions
on waste management, communication, nuclear safety, licensing and PSA,
maintenance, inspection and testing, training, quality, regulation, organization
and HR, training, fusion, engineering and innovation, nuclear safety and
radiation protection. Within the framework of the technical sessions, we also
contributed with the coordination and chairing of several sessions, as well as
several promotional sessions and posters. From these sessions, our colleagues
Mateos Ramos and Manuel Fernández Ordoñez won the prize for the best
paper.
In addition, the Society recognized with the SNE medal the professional career
of Javier Guerra, our general director. This award recognizes not only Javier’s
professional activity in Tecnatom, with more than 35 years of trajectory, but also
as an active part of the SNE, which he chaired between 2019 and 2021.
On the other hand, Manuel Fernández was awarded the José María Otero
Navascués prize, which recognizes the work of communication and
dissemination of nuclear energy in society.
