What we offer in our fossil fuel Inspection Services

At Tecnatom we help electricity power plants ensure that all their systems and components are in prime operational conditions, in order to certify that they possess the maximum degree of safety and efficiency.

To do this, we provide inspection services using Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques, which do not affect the integrity of the components being inspected. These inspection services, with a high added value, are provided throughout the lifespan of the electricity plant.

Tecnatom offers solutions based on the latest inspection technology, which are developed from our broad NDT experience of over 60 years.

Our professional inspection services experts are certified in all NDT methods in accordance with UNE, ASME and other regulations.

Among these services is the plant requirement research, which defines the most efficient inspection services for each specific case. An inspection plan is carried out in constant collaboration with our clients, which is concluded with detailed reports and, if required, final recommendations.

Our objective is to always help our clients meet their safety standards, proposing the most efficient inspection solutions possible, based on all-inclusive services, which reduce costs and increase process efficiency.

How do we carry out our inspection services?

We design NDT solutions in constant collaboration with our clients, identifying a plan which best suits the available windows and production cycles of their plants.

Once the needs of the plant are assessed, inspection solutions are identified which include the standard requirement procedures that need to be applied and the definition of the inspection system (mechanical system and NDT equipment).

Tecnatom has its own technology meaning that we have been able to develop a large variety of inspection systems, both automatic and manual, which enable us to provide services using all NDT methods;

In the inspections carried out by our NDT expert professional, we use highly versatile inspection systems, which can be adapted to the diverse geometry and thickness of the components.

Our systems can be modified as per the specific needs of our clients to meet complex inspection requirements. To do this, Tecnatom has a technological development area which allows us to successfully address new regulatory requirements or to adapt new inspection technology for certain components.

Our extensive international experience in this sector means we can demonstrate our flexibility and agility when dealing with any inspection related challenge through our NDT techniques.

Tecnatom desarrollará para ITER Organization su plataforma de simulación de fusión nuclear

El proyecto ITER es uno de los proyectos de inversión más grandes del mundo, en el que colaboran más de 35 países con el objetivo de demostrar la viabilidad de la fusión nuclear como fuente de energía inagotable. Para ello se está construyendo uno de los dispositivos de fusión por confinamiento magnético más grandes del mundo, en el que se probarán tecnologías, materiales y regímenes físicos integrados necesarios para la producción de electricidad basada en la fusión.

Tecnatom forma parte del proyecto aportando la creación de la plataforma de simulación de lo que será el simulador de la sala de control de ITER, la integración de modelos existentes desarrollados por distintos suministradores, la integración del sistema de control CODAC, el desarrollo de modelos adicionales, así como el mantenimiento y la formación en la plataforma.
