iberquimia_800Along with the foodstuffs industry, the chemical sector is one of those that has most developed during the recent economic crisis.  In the last 7 years, it has grown by 15% and amounts to more than 12% of the gross industrial product.

Tecnatom has identified a number of activities that offer synergies with its more traditional lines of business and is beginning to operate in the petrochemical sector, where the high standards of safety and the practices characterising the nuclear industry are clearly applicable.

The Chemical Industry Congress (Iberquimia) took place in Madrid during the last week of April.  Tecnatom participated and delivered a keynote paper entitled Leadership and improved facility safety and reliability.  This paper addressed the way in which leaders at all levels have a highly significant impact on the safety and reliability results of facilities.  There is a set of leadership competences and skills that are of key importance and by undertaking highly specific actions with respect to them it is possible to appreciably improve the results of an installation.
