For the fourth year running Tecnatom will carry out the engineering and maintenance of hydraulic snubbers at the Cernavoda nuclear power plant, in Rumania. Specifically the contract is for group 2 of the Rumanian plant.
Tecnatom will undertake the maintenance of all the hydraulic snubbers of this group, including functional testing, maintenance and the manufacturing and supply of spares. These engineering activities will include the performance of failure analyses and assessment of the remaining lifetime of the plant snubbers overall.
These activities are performed as part of a consortium with the local firm Titan Echipamente Nucleare (TEN), a local engineering and heavy machinery manufacturing company specialising in the electricity industry and having a stable presence at the Cernavoda plant.
