Tecnatom has been awarded contracts in Chile and Argentina for the monitoring of fossil fuel electricity-generating plants.
Pampa Energía, the largest private electricity utility in Argentina, has selected our TecOS SOLCEP tool for the monitoring of the performance of its plants, and has contracted Tecnatom for the supply, configuration and maintenance of the tool at three combined cycle facilities and two open cycle gas turbine plants, with a total power output of more than 2,000 MWe. These 5 facilities, located at the Genelba and Loma la Lata sites, now join our current references, consolidating TecOS SOLCEP as a leading tool for the monitoring of cycle performance.
Electricity-generating plant performance monitoring tasks
Furthermore, Colbún, a Chilean company with 25 generating plants, has contracted Tecnatom to undertake the predictive monitoring of the two groups of its Nehuenco combined cycle plant (more than 750 MWe). This contract rests on our alliance with the company Uniper and is a continuation of the pilot project that has been carried out over the last few months.
These are two clear pointers to the importance of the digital solutions that the industry is demanding. This is especially true within the framework of the current international health crisis, in which solutions relating to the digitalisation and monitoring of assets, an area in which Tecnatom already had wide experience, are helping to improve the processes and efficiency of electricity-generating plants, allowing them to adapt to this new situation.
